Comments on: How I’m Preparing for My Second Season of New Motherhood https://witanddelight.com/2022/04/new-motherhood/ A Lifestyle Blog Mon, 02 May 2022 19:11:43 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.5.2 By: Kim https://witanddelight.com/2022/04/new-motherhood/#comment-696594 Thu, 28 Apr 2022 08:21:49 +0000 https://witanddelight.com/?p=97342#comment-696594 This is so helpful and beautifully written. I have a four year old and a 12 day old, and due to his heart condition we are yet to leave hospital. Post partum this time around looks entirely different so far, but it’s reassuring to read this reminder that my self is not completely lost while obscured by this phase. And yes, the swaddling, swaying, nappies and babying is intrinsic muscle memory second time around.
Book marking for self help in the next few months xx

Have a 9 month old and a 4.25 yo and I used to write every other night even during my first postpartum period, just to process what on earth was going on. With two, I’m simply not able to do it, but I will create again someday. I just love how you put it- leaving some breadcrumbs for a later time. We’ll find our way back again. <3<3<3

My second child is almost 1 and my first is almost 4. It was hard to find my interior self and there was a lot of guilt along the way.

I’m expecting my second any day now, and you articulate so beautifully the personal changes that happen when caring for a newborn. Thank you for this lovely post.
