We aren’t a “mommy blog”, but we have stories about motherhood. We aren’t a fashion site, but we want your outer personal style to reflect the inner you. We aren’t interior designers, but we understand the importance of creating an interior that gives a sense of solace from the outside world. We aren’t mental health professionals, but we live our life to the fullest with our diagnoses.
What we lack in professional degrees or credentials, we make up for in life experience, and trial and error. We are here to share experiences, create community, and support people in various states of adulting. We tell stories that we not only want to hear, but that we need to hear.
We are a different kind of lifestyle* brand.
We’re a home to professional feelings feelers, an elevator for glass ceiling breakers, and a soapbox for stories on anything from home decor and tile to battling anxiety and depression.
We help readers find empowerment through lifestyle choices (big & small).
We tie it all together with a bit humor, a lot of beauty, and a heavy side of community support.
Kate started Wit & Delight in 2009 when she was $10K in debt and worried about how she’d pay the bills if she lost her job. It was a safety net that turned out to be a vehicle to an entirely new career path. A designer by trade and a self-taught writer, Kate has a healthy appetite for cheese, leaps of faith, and good conversation. She is happiest with her head in the clouds, feet on the ground, and a true crime podcast in her ears.
In 2013, Arends began publishing personal essays exploring her journey through divorce, mental illness, and an undiagnosed learning disability. 3.3 Million followers later, Wit & Delight has become a resource for others to feel less alone in the ups and downs of their journey through life. It's a place where readers can find suggestions on where to travel, eat, or shop from someone they’ve come to know as a friend.
Kate lives in St. Paul, Minnesota with her extroverted husband, Joe Peters, son August, daughter Bennett, and their sweet English labradors, Winnie Bear and Pearl.
We’re a home to professional feelings feelers, an elevator for glass ceiling breakers, and a soapbox for stories on anything from home decor and tile to battling anxiety and depression.
We discuss topics where Life and Style intersect, and tie it all together with a bit humor, a lot of beauty, and a heavy side of community support.
When we (truly) love who we are, we can take better care of ourselves, friends, families, and fellow humans.
Like you, we want the things we surround ourselves with to bring us joy. That’s why we design products that are inspired by our readers' unique style and love for good design.
The Wit & Delight Podcast is hosted by founder Kate Arends. Each week we discuss where life and style intersect and how the choices we make (both big and small) can help us find empowerment and self-discovery in unexpected places.
We work with a select number of clients to define, refine, and launch their brands. From logo development to interiors, content creation to editorial strategy, our clients share a passion for value-driven brand expression.
